The art of making fine bourbon first took place in 1812 on the grounds of the Woodford Reserve Distillery, a National Historic Landmark. You get that sense of history. The history of bourbon is the history of Kentucky and therefore the history of the United States.
Woodford Reserve is made with a mash bill of 71% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. The recipe balances the sweetness of corn with the spiciness of rye and the nutty flavor of malt. The water comes directly from the distillery and is also filtered there.
