Fruit brandy
Obstbrand is a spirit made from fruits that are mashed and fermented with alcohol. A schnapps is then distilled from it, i.e. it is distilled. A fruit brandy has a minimum of 37.5% and a maximum of 55% alcohol by volume. The fruit brandies are often given additional aromas by being stored in wooden barrels before they are bottled.
