Sometimes you have to go new ways to preserve tradition. This requires courage and solidarity. Both were certainly not lacking in Terlan when 24 winegrowers joined forces in 1893 and founded the Terlan wine cooperative. What was a tremendous innovation at the time has proven itself to this day. Terlan wine has made the small village world-famous, at least among wine lovers.
Today, the Terlan winery, with 143 members, is one of the leading winegrowers' cooperatives in South Tyrol and has been pursuing a strict quality policy for many years, which has earned it reputation and recognition from the Italian and international wine market. Despite its manageable size, the Terlan winery has become an established institution in the professional world.
