Vie di Romans

Vie di Romans
The Gallo family's unwavering dedication to vineyards and wine, dating back over a century, is rooted in the work and determination of family members such as Basilio, Stelio, Gianfranco and their relatives. Gianfranco, who has managed the winery since 1978, implemented radical and far-reaching viticultural programs and paid close attention to winemaking practices. These initiatives have given the wines of Vie di Romans the stamp of a unique personality over the last 20 years.

There were a number of important steps in this historic process. In 1978 the first bottling and labeling came on the market, followed in 1982 by a restructuring of the vineyards with the aim of improving quality; In 1989 the new three-storey winery building was built. Wines from different vineyards were produced separately from 1990, and in 1992, with the release of the 1990 vintage, the custom of releasing all white wines a full two years after harvest was instituted.
