Aquavit
Aquavit is derived from the Latin aqua vitae "water of life" and has been a pharmaceutical term for brandy or wine spirit since the Middle Ages. Since the early modern period, it has usually been used to describe a brandy flavored with spices. The aquavit has a clear to golden yellow color and is made using pure, almost tasteless agricultural alcohol from e.g. grain or potatoes with the addition of caraway and dill seeds. Originally he comes from Scandinavia.
