Masciarelli

Masciarelli
MASCIARELLI Tenute Agricole was born in 1981 from the entrepreneurial intuition of Gianni Masciarelli, a pioneer in the rebirth of viticulture in Abruzzo. With more than 60 vineyards in Abruzzo, Masciarelli has been promoting local diversity for 40 years, making Montepulciano and Trebbiano wines of excellence. Named one of the top 100 wineries in Italy by Wine Spectator magazine, Masciarelli is also the largest family-run winery in Abruzzo by area of vineyards. His extensive range of everyday to premium wines and limited editions is available to international guests in his charming wine resort Castello di Semivicoli.

Gianni Masciarelli, who unfortunately passed away far too early, and his wife Marina Cvetic have created a highly respected wine culture in harmony with the people, soil, climate and regional culture. Gianni Masciarelli has been a pioneer in viticulture in Abruzzo for over 30 years. He was the first ever to appreciate the enormous potential of the local varieties Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo.
Located in the village of San Martino sulla Marrucina with a population of 800, the winery, which Marina Cvetic continues to run very successfully with the same unshakable commitment, today enjoys a high reputation throughout Italy.
