The family business, founded in 1883 by the Studer brothers in Escholzmatt, Switzerland, was originally a flourishing liqueur and confectionery factory. After a devastating fire in 1922 and the laborious reconstruction of production, the focus was exclusively on the distillation of local fine fruit varieties. Thanks to the creativity and willpower typical of the Studer family, the company survived two world wars and the international business was expanded with great success. For more than 120 years, the Studer brand has stood for traditional firing methods, the use of the finest raw materials and the uncompromising quality of all products. It is not for nothing that the Studer distillery is the most awarded distillery in Switzerland. Today the company is managed by the 4th and 5th generation and manages the great balancing act between tradition and responsible heritage as well as creative imagination and modern product developments. The values of the great-great-grandparents will also be carried on in the future: love for detail and the greatest respect for the products of nature.
