Glenfiddich is Gaelic for "Valley of the Deer". There, deep in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, lies the home of premium whiskey Glenfiddich. Its debut took place on Christmas Day 1887 when the first drops of malt whiskey began to flow from the still. This traditional whiskey stronghold has been home to the Glenfiddich distillery for over 100 years. On the River Spey, the conditions for distilling whiskey were perfect from the start: clean air, clear spring water and peat soil. This has been the case since the distillery was founded more than 160 years ago.
