Tequila Don Julio Añejo is a fine example of great tasting aged tequila and the craftsmanship behind it.
100% blue agaves are used for Don Julio Anejo. These grow on the high plantations of Los Altos. It is double distilled and then aged for eighteen months in small batches from American white oak casks and is only produced in small batches. The result is this already very sweet agave that gets even sweeter with altitude. Only fully ripe piñas are hand-sliced, slow-roasted and their juice fermented.
