The winery

The name Contadi Castaldi is a synthesis of the thousand-year history of Franciacorta, its 19 municipalities and their vocation for exceptional agriculture. In 1500, the period of the greatest splendour of the Venetian Republic, Franciacorta produced food and wine destined for the tables of princes, kings and rich merchants. The splendid Venice was the preferred market for Franciacorta to make its wines known.
