“The 2014 vintage is one of the most challenging we can remember, but it still enabled us to produce high-quality wines that are very enjoyable. The conditions during the late ripening period allow the crispness and freshness of the fruity notes to come into their own. In the mouth, the tannins are well felt: silky, refined and absolutely edgeless, albeit with a lower density compared to warmer years. Thanks in particular to the wonderful Merlots from 2014, Le Volte dell'Ornellaia is a balanced, harmonious wine that tastes very good." - Axel Heinz
