Grandfather Min laid the foundation stone 50 years ago; Father Livio Zorzettig built on this and Massimo and Marco Zorzettig, who together with mother Gabriella preserve the family tradition, continue the story with their Tunella wine cellar.
She and her invaluable collaborators, including the outstanding oenologist and friend Luigino Zamparo, bring together innovation and experience, new developments and the time-tested tradition of the Colli Orientali del Friuli.
The noblest freshness of new and creative energies can be found in the Tunella wines. However, the past, experience and tradition always remain the solid and stable seedbed from which the future can sprout day after day.
The region is located in the extreme north-east of Italy, in the middle of a triangle whose vertices are Venice (west), Austria (north) and Slovenia (east). It boasts an ancient and well-established winemaking tradition and a total of 15,400 hectares of vineyards, 60% white and 40% blue grapes.
In the Friuli Venezia Giulia region there are eight D.O.C. Production areas (with controlled designation of origin): "Collio", "Grave", "Isonzo", "Carso", "Aquileia", "Latisana", "Annia" and "Colli Orientali del Friuli"; the latter are regarded worldwide as the growing area for quality white wines of perfect elegance.
