In 1972, four families founded a company in Ama that would soon become a model for the entire region. Located between the municipalities of Gaiole and Radda, at an average altitude of 450 meters above sea level, with Siena on the horizon, the property extends over 250 hectares. The vineyards, covering an area of 90 hectares, harmoniously combine with 40 hectares of olive groves. Lorenza Sebasti is in charge of Castello di Ama, her husband, Marco Pallanti, is the oenologist. A birthday party in 1980 brought Lorenza Sebasti, born in Rome, to the Castello di Ama for the first time. At Villa Pianigiani she immediately felt at home and discovered the land, the flavors and the colors of a landscape long gone but at the same time very familiar. It became her purpose in life, her "raison de vie". In 1988, at the age of 23, she moved to Ama to manage the winery. The acquaintance of the oenologist Marco Pallanti led Lorenza to start and deepen the study of "wine". Together they have decided to advance the development of Chianti Classico.
