Three generations of winemakers
In the early 1970's Olindo Andrighetti, a Venetian entrepreneur, bought the estate and farm in Campoperi, near Siena, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, woods and farmland. Olindo, realizing the great potential for wine production, completely renovated the farm and turned it into a winery in 1972.
In 1994, Ada Andrighetti, Olindo's daughter, took over management of the company, acquiring the neighboring Casale estate and transforming it into a new operations and production centre, formally giving birth to Casale dello Sparviero. Ada has all the vineyards replanted and applies a modern business model.
In the years that followed, Arrigo Barion, Ada's son, began to take part in the management of the estate. Arrigo, representing the third generation of wine producers in the Andrighetti family, is poised to lead Casale dello Sparviero through the twenty-first century and hand it over to the next generation.
