A long time ago, the Dal Cero family moved from the Veronese area to Lombardy. For this wine, the siblings Igino, Gian Franco and Anna Maria dal Cero returned to their father's old homeland in the eastern part of the province of Verona. They wanted to dedicate a wine to him as a sign of their reflection on their own roots and the culture and history of the area. And which wine would be better suited to this than the Amarone, which has helped the Veronese wine culture to achieve worldwide fame?
The eye:
Intense ruby red
The palate:
luscious fruit notes of sour cherries, which develop a spicy sweetness in combination with notes of chocolate. Its finesse allows the floral component of rose petals to emerge, rounded off with voluptuous balsamic notes with hints of star anise and wild mint. Subtle tertiary aromas such as sweet tobacco and coffee complete the grandiose taste impression.
Consumption recommendation:
The Amarone comes into its own at the table and goes well with mature cheeses, well-done meat, braised meat and deer.
