One of the lesser-known heroes of the Philippine Revolution, Don Papa led his countrymen in driving the conquerors from his beloved land. Before joining the country's struggle for independence, he worked as a foreman at a sugar cane plantation. Don Papa's contribution to the revolution was lost over time. Today, however, the sugar cane he once harvested is symbolic of honoring him. His energy and fighting spirit form part of every bottle of this small-batch rum.
Exclusively from the island of Negros, Don Papa is a premium aged rum bottled in small batches. The rum is distilled from one of the world's highest quality sugar canes and aged in American oak casks at the foot of Mount Kanlaon for over seven years. A selection of rums is then carefully blended to perfection. Don Papa Rum is neither particularly young nor very old and has the golden mean.
