Origin: Red wine made from typical Sulcis grapes with a modest addition of French varieties, obtained in purity from the Cardon vineyards grown in the lower Sulcis on our farms in Narcao and Barrua.
Soil composition: The soils are generally medium-sized, clayey, sandy and calcareous
Grapes: 85% local, 15% French
Harvest time: early September to the first half of October
Harvesting Method: Manual Harvest
Vinification: The must ferments with the skins at a temperature between 25 and 28ºC in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for a period of about 15 days. The entire mass is periodically pumped out, which facilitates the passage of the compounds present in the pomace into the solution. Subsequent fermentation gives a soft touch to the wine, which is then aged in French oak barrels for about 18 months. It then ages in the bottle for at least 6 months.
